TA’s Spring Musical features comedy, tap-dancing, and dreams of making it big

The Thornton Academy Players will present Crazy for You, a musical featuring music by George Gershwin April 5-8 at Garland Auditorium at Thornton Academy.  This comedic show features singing, dancing, and elaborate sets and costumes. It tells the story of Bobby Childs, a wannabe dancer who initiates a comedy of errors as he pursues his dream of making it big.

Go on a Symphony Safari! Junior Delaney Ziegman debuts an original story with the Portland Symphony Orchestra.

Thornton Academy student Delaney Ziegman will debut an original story entitled Symphony Safari on stage with the Portland Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, January 21. Ziegman, a junior at TA, wrote the piece specifically to fit the music provided by the PSO. Symphony Safari is one of the PSO Discovery Concerts for Kids and is designed to provide an opportunity for families to enjoy classical music together.
